INTERNATIONAL MATERIAL DATA SYSTEM (IMDS)

The European Union established the End of Life Vehicle Directive regulation in order to deal with the impact on the environment of end-of-life-vehicles. As a material aggregation tool for different reporting requirements in the 2000/53/EC Directive, the International Material Data System was established. There are also the means of identifying components and parts that could contain dangerous or hazardous substances through the IMDS. This might include elements or chemicals specified by REACh or RoHS directives.

J Royal’s IMDS certification number is 55580. We are adept in setting up and submitting components and materials with the IMDS system. Though most IMDS submission requests are through the PPAP process of the automotive industry, IMDS requests by stand-alone applicants are also honored.
